Gutters
Runs collect water along the roof edge. Size, profile, measured length, corners and roof geometry shape the proposed system.

Aubrey-based Longhorn Construction Co. installs and repairs residential and commercial gutter systems. We evaluate the complete path from roof-water collection through gutters and downspouts to discharge.
Collection → Gutters → Downspouts → Discharge
Gutters are a core Longhorn service line, and we own our gutter machine and trailer. A useful recommendation considers the complete drainage path, not simply linear feet of gutter.

Longhorn offers 5-inch and 6-inch seamless gutters, primarily K-style, with other/custom/commercial configurations where appropriate. Active downspout options include 2×3 and 3×4, with other/custom commercial arrangements selected for the project.
Selection considers contributing roof area, roof geometry and pitch, concentrated valley flow, gutter layout, downspout capacity/location and downstream drainage. Six-inch gutters are not universally better, and a larger gutter alone does not correct every overflow problem.
Seamless runs reduce joints along the run. Corners, outlets and end connections still require proper installation and maintenance; seamless does not mean leak-proof.
Follow the Water
Roof valleys can concentrate runoff into a small part of a gutter run. Overflow there calls for a review of debris or obstruction, the water path, gutter size/layout, outlet/downspout capacity and downstream drainage.
Splash protection or diversion may be appropriate after that review. Neither is a universal fix. Where related roof-edge or flashing problems are found, identify the appropriate roof repair scope separately.
Discharge and Drainage
Collecting roof runoff and managing where it goes after the downspout are separate parts of the job. Longhorn provides these project-specific options when included in the written scope:
The route, destination and property conditions need review. New gutters do not automatically include underground drainage or a French drain, and gutters alone do not correct improper grading, foundation movement, every drainage problem or every water-intrusion condition.
Attachment Before Installation
Damaged, deteriorated or unsuitable attachment areas may need separately identified and authorized repair before proper gutter installation. Longhorn provides fascia repair/replacement and painting or wrapping as scope options. Sound fascia does not automatically require replacement.
Soffit is a related but separate component beneath the roof edge. Related soffit work can be included where appropriate; it is not automatically part of a gutter replacement. Concealed damage discovered during removal should be evaluated and any additional work authorized separately.
If water has also damaged other parts of the building, discuss the appropriate building restoration services.
Protection with Upkeep
Gutter guards can reduce debris entry, but they do not eliminate inspection or maintenance. Selection depends on the roof, gutter system, debris conditions and product.
Guard coverage may include full runs or selected runs where appropriate. The written scope should identify the product and coverage. Inspection and cleaning frequency should reflect the property and product requirements, not a blanket schedule for every building.
Property and Product Choices
Longhorn handles homes and commercial properties. Commercial work may involve longer collection runs, higher drainage demands, different downspout sizes/locations, access and staging constraints, building-use considerations and custom configurations. The recommendation remains specific to the property and discharge path.
Coordinate related work through our Roofing services overview or Commercial Roofing services when roof work is also needed.
Longhorn traditionally/primarily uses Senox gutter products. Appropriate alternatives may be sourced through ABC Supply or other suppliers. Supplier use is not certification. Confirm the material, profile and selected gutter/downspout colors for the actual product; screen colors may vary, so use product/material information or a physical sample where appropriate for final confirmation.
Scope and Workmanship
Longhorn's gutter contract provides a one-year limited workmanship warranty from Job Completion, subject to its written terms. Manufacturer product coverage is separate.
For storm-related concerns, Longhorn can document observed conditions and its proposed construction scope. The insurer determines coverage under the policy; documentation is not a promise of payment.
First-Hand Experience
The project photographs on this page show actual Longhorn Construction work. We preserve that first-hand view without assuming the same system or scope is right for every property.

No. Guards can reduce debris entry, but inspection and maintenance remain necessary. Product selection and full-run or selected-run coverage should suit the property/system. Cleaning frequency depends on actual conditions and product requirements.
The destination depends on the property and suitable drainage route. Longhorn provides extensions, splash blocks, complete French drains, underground lines, pop-up emitters and appropriate existing-system connections when included in scope. Gutters alone do not correct grading, foundation movement or every drainage problem.
Yes. Gutters are a core Longhorn service line, and Longhorn owns its gutter machine and trailer. Start with a free measurement/estimate and provide the property location/type, affected areas, overflow or repair concerns and access restrictions. The written scope identifies the included system and discharge work.
