What We Do
Start with the service that fits your property and concern. An inspection helps determine whether a targeted repair or a replacement scope is appropriate.

A leak does not automatically mean you need a complete new roof. The condition of the roof covering, flashing, penetrations and underlying assembly helps determine whether repair or replacement makes sense. Longhorn can document observed conditions and explain the proposed work; concealed conditions may require further evaluation as the work proceeds.
For a localized leak or damaged detail, start with roof repair. For a broader replacement evaluation, choose residential roofing or commercial roofing according to your property.
Materials and Scope
The right roofing system depends on slope, drainage, the existing assembly, property use and the agreed scope. Systems are not interchangeable, and a coating is not a substitute for addressing unsuitable or damaged underlying conditions.
Where roof-edge work is needed, review gutters and fascia services alongside the roofing scope.
North Texas Conditions
Hail, strong winds and heavy rain can affect roof coverings and vulnerable details. A storm date alone does not establish the extent of damage or the need for replacement. An inspection helps distinguish observed damage from wear and identify the proposed construction response.
North Texas attic temperatures can reach approximately 140°F. Longhorn evaluates and provides roofing ventilation as part of roof-replacement work to help manage attic heat, airflow and roof-system performance. Ventilation design depends on the roof and building; we do not promise a specific utility-bill reduction.
Longhorn can document observed roof conditions and its proposed construction scope. Your insurer determines coverage under your policy. We do not waive deductibles. See our Texas hail-damage claim guide for additional context.
Your Roofing Project
Our experienced installation crews are independent subcontractor crews, not Longhorn employees. Some have worked with Longhorn for many years, with relationships approaching 20 years. Longhorn manages project scope, quality expectations and the customer relationship.
Credentials and Coverage
GAF Silver Certified is our contractor certification level, not a warranty. Longhorn residential roof replacements include a 5-year Longhorn workmanship warranty; roof repairs include a 1-year Longhorn workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties are separate.
Residential projects may also qualify for manufacturer coverage based on the selected roofing system, manufacturer and installation requirements, and eligibility/registration requirements. Where GAF products and systems are selected and eligible, applicable GAF coverage may complement Longhorn's 5-year workmanship warranty.
Commercial warranty terms depend on the selected roofing system and applicable NDL (No Dollar Limit)/manufacturer requirements. Review the project-specific terms rather than assuming every roof carries the same coverage.

For your property, begin with an inspection and a written scope specific to the roof and its conditions.

Common Questions
No. The appropriate scope depends on the observed damage, roof condition and whether a suitable repair can address the problem. An inspection helps establish the construction scope; the occurrence of a storm alone does not establish that replacement is needed.
A roofing estimate should identify the proposed work, selected materials/system, relevant flashing and ventilation work, exclusions, price and applicable warranty terms. Longhorn’s written Proposal establishes the actual project scope and pricing.

No. Longhorn can document observed roof conditions and its proposed construction scope. Your insurer determines coverage under your policy. An inspection or construction estimate is not a promise of insurer payment. Longhorn does not waive deductibles.
Many residential roof replacements fall approximately within $7,000–$20,000. This is planning guidance, not a quote or a maximum price. Actual pricing depends on roof size, pitch, materials, access, existing conditions and scope. The written Proposal establishes actual project pricing.
Most standard residential roof replacements are completed in approximately 1–2 days, subject to roof size, complexity, weather and discovered conditions. The schedule for a commercial or more complex project depends on its scope.
For additional planning context, see our DFW roof replacement cost guide. Your written Proposal, not a general guide, establishes your project price.
