Window Replacement

How do I know if I need new windows?

Common signs your windows should be replaced:

  • Fog or condensation between the panes, which means the seal has failed
  • Drafts, or rooms that are hard to keep cool in summer
  • Windows that stick, won't lock or won't stay open
  • Rotted or soft frames and sills
  • Cracked glass or hail-damaged frames and screens
  • Rising energy bills

In North Texas, windows are a major source of heat gain. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows with Low-E glass can make your home noticeably more comfortable and help lower cooling costs.

Window Options

What types of replacement windows do you install?

  • Vinyl windows: affordable, low-maintenance and energy-efficient. The most popular choice for Texas homes.
  • Low-E, double-pane glass: it reflects heat and UV rays while letting in light.
  • Single-hung, double-hung, sliding, casement and picture windows
  • Patio and sliding doors
  • Custom sizes to fit existing openings, plus new openings for remodels

Our Process

How does window replacement work?

  1. Free in-home consultation and measurement.
  2. Written estimate with window styles, glass options and pricing.
  3. Custom order. Windows are built to your exact measurements.
  4. Professional installation, with proper flashing, insulation and sealing to keep water and air out.
  5. Cleanup and walkthrough. We remove and haul away your old windows.

Storm Damage

Does insurance cover hail-damaged windows?

Hail can crack glass, dent frames and shred screens. If the damage was caused by a covered storm, your homeowner's insurance may pay for repair or replacement. We document window damage during our free storm inspections and include it with your roof and gutter claim when applicable.

Warranty

Do you warranty window installation?

All of our non-roofing work is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. Window manufacturers also provide product warranties on the windows themselves.

Energy Efficiency

What makes a window energy-efficient in Texas?

In a cooling-dominated climate like North Texas, the most important rating is the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC). A lower SHGC means less of the sun's heat comes through the glass. U-factor measures how well the window insulates. Lower is better.

Look for ENERGY STAR windows rated for the south-central climate zone, with Low-E coatings and double-pane, gas-filled glass. We'll walk you through the ratings so you can compare options.
