Roof Repair & Roof Leak Repair in DFW & North Texas

Longhorn Construction Co. provides free roof inspections and targeted repairs for homes and commercial properties. Based in Aubrey, we serve DFW and North Texas, work throughout Texas and have nationwide project capability. We are available 24/7.

Start With the Source of the Roof Problem

Water can travel along roof components before it becomes visible inside. A ceiling stain may not be directly beneath the point where water enters. Depending on the roof and safe access, an evaluation may consider roof covering and shingles, flashing, pipe boots, vents, penetrations, valleys, transitions, edges, seams, drainage/water paths, previous repairs and surrounding conditions. Concealed conditions or intermittent leaks may require further investigation; an inspection does not guarantee every source can be confirmed immediately.

Targeted Repair or Broader Roof Evaluation?

A leak does not automatically mean you need a new roof. Repair may be appropriate for localized damage when surrounding materials remain suitable and a compatible repair can be made. Widespread deterioration, repeated failures, unsuitable surrounding materials or conditions that prevent a reliable localized repair may warrant broader evaluation. The decision depends on the actual roof condition, repairability, access and project requirements, not a fixed roof age. See Residential Roofing or Commercial Roofing for broader system and replacement decisions.

Residential and Commercial Roof Repairs

Residential Roof Repairs

A residential repair may address damaged or missing shingles, localized storm damage, flashing, pipe boots, vents, valleys, roof edges or a previous repair area. Proposed materials and any appearance or matching limitations should be explained in the written scope. More than one repair area can be identified separately.

Commercial Roof Repairs

Commercial repair evaluation may address low-slope leaks, membrane seams and details, penetrations, flashing, localized damage, drainage observations and previous repairs. Access, staging and occupied-property requirements help define the work. Broader maintenance, coatings, restoration and replacement decisions are addressed on our Commercial Roofing page.

What Your Written Repair Scope Should Identify

Your scope should identify each repair location, observed condition, proposed work and applicable components or materials. Quantities, exclusions, pricing and additional-work authorization should be clear where applicable. Separate repair areas make it easier to understand what is included and what remains outside the work. Concealed conditions discovered during repair may require separately authorized additional work.

These are evaluation and scope possibilities, not automatic inclusions. A localized repair does not guarantee resolution of unrelated or surrounding roof conditions. Related gutter and fascia work should be identified separately where appropriate.

What Determines Roof Repair Pricing?

Repair pricing depends on location and access, the number and extent of repair areas, observed conditions, materials, work required and residential or commercial requirements. Concealed or discovered conditions may affect the proposed scope. The written Longhorn Proposal or repair agreement establishes the actual price.

Storm Damage and Temporary Protection

Wind or hail can damage individual roof components; inspection helps determine whether targeted repair or a broader evaluation is appropriate. A storm does not itself establish insurance coverage.

Longhorn can document observed roof conditions and prepare its proposed construction scope. The insurer determines coverage under the policy. Longhorn does not waive deductibles. See our Texas insurance guide for the customer reporting process.

Longhorn is available 24/7. Temporary protection, such as tarping where appropriate and safely feasible, is distinct from permanent repair. Weather, access and actual conditions affect the response and available measures; temporary work does not guarantee complete leak stoppage or permanent resolution.

Protect people first, stay away from sagging or bulging ceiling areas, avoid wet or damaged roof areas and seek appropriate professional assistance. Interior water damage may require separately scoped restoration work.

Longhorn's 1-Year Roof Repair Workmanship Warranty

All Longhorn roof repairs carry a 1-year workmanship warranty from completion, subject to the written warranty terms. It applies to Longhorn's repair work; it does not warranty the entire existing roof, unrelated future leaks or surrounding deteriorated materials. Applicable manufacturer product coverage is separate and is not extended by the repair workmanship warranty.

Actual Longhorn Work and Project Coordination

The photograph shows actual Longhorn roofing work. The proposed repair for your property depends on its observed conditions and written scope. Longhorn works with experienced independent subcontractor roofing crews and manages the scope, quality expectations, coordination and customer relationship. Longhorn is BBB A+ Rated, GAF Silver Certified and American WeatherStar certified. These credentials do not replace the written scope or establish coverage for every repair or product.

Roof Repair Questions

Why is the ceiling leak not directly below the roof problem?

Water can travel along roof components before appearing indoors. The visible stain identifies an affected interior area, not necessarily the roof-entry point.

What does Longhorn evaluate when investigating a roof leak?

Depending on the system and safe access, evaluation may include covering, flashing, boots, penetrations, seams, valleys, drainage and previous repairs. Concealed or intermittent problems may need further investigation.

Can several separate roof problems be repaired in one project?

Yes, where appropriate. Each repair area can be identified separately so the written scope explains the proposed work and exclusions.

Does Longhorn repair commercial roofs?

Yes. Commercial repair evaluation may address low-slope leaks, membrane details, seams, flashing, penetrations and localized damage, with access and occupied-property needs considered.

What should my written roof-repair scope include?

Repair locations, observed conditions, proposed work, applicable materials and quantities, exclusions, price and the process for separately authorizing additional work.

Is emergency tarping a permanent roof repair?

No. Tarping is temporary protection where appropriate and safely feasible. It does not replace evaluation and authorization of permanent work or guarantee complete leak stoppage.

What warranty comes with a Longhorn roof repair?

All Longhorn roof repairs carry a 1-year workmanship warranty from completion, subject to written terms. It applies to Longhorn's repair workmanship, not the entire existing roof or unrelated future leaks.
